Our in-house Project Management, Design Management and Site Management teams drive our commitment to high-quality design and installation, from concept through to completion.

Working closely with our supply chain, we provide innovative products and expert specification guidance to deliver aesthetic designs that reflect any architectural vision. By understanding the relationship between support, control and finish, we can assure optimum results for architects and contractors, and ultimately, their clients. If you want to discuss a project, our experienced team can be contacted between 08:00 – 17:00, Monday to Friday.

John Harvey
Managing Director

John is the founder of Advanced Glass, and he’s been in the industry since 1981. Starting out as a glazing installer and moving up through the ranks, John has a vast wealth of hands-on experience. He has shaped the way our company works, how we can use our knowledge and how to share best practice to achieve great solutions and results, time after time. John’s passion for glazing and facades drives the company to continually work with the latest products and technology to deliver our clients’ architectural vision.

Sales and Marketing Manager

With a strong technical background and years of façade design experience, Matthew supports clients in delivering complex façade and glazing packages with confidence. As a Senior Leader in the Advanced Glass Team, he combines proactive leadership with in-depth knowledge of regulations and industry standards. Matthew spends time working closely with architects, contractors, and consultants to ensure every design meets specification, achieves full compliance, and minimises coordination issues. Known for his attention to detail, clear communication, and commitment to getting projects right from the start, he helps build lasting trust while reducing risk, hassle, and costly delays for clients.

Lewis Pointon
Operations Manager

With nearly 20 years of experience in the glazing and façade industry, Lewis began his career on the tools at 16 and has progressed into a senior leadership role. As Operations Manager, he brings calm, organised leadership and an unwavering attention to detail. Lewis has successfully delivered façade packages exceeding £10 million, overseeing projects from pre-construction planning through to final handover. His commitment to health and safety ensures our projects are delivered to the highest standards; safely, efficiently, and on time. Known for his ability to keep complex programmes on track, Lewis fosters strong relationships with site teams, clients, and suppliers; ensuring exceptional results on every project.

Stuart Nelson is a highly experienced Design Manager with over 45 years in the construction industry, specialising in curtain walling, structural glazing, and steel support systems. His career spans roles at industry leaders including Reynaers and Glassolutions. Stuart’s portfolio features major UK and international projects, showcasing his deep technical knowledge of Schüco and Technal systems, bolted glass, and tension structures across commercial, residential, and landmark developments.

Chris Harpin
1974 – 2025

We are deeply saddened by the tragic loss of our colleague and friend, Chris Harpin, who passed away while on a motorbike trip in Spain with work colleagues.

Chris was an incredibly hard-working and knowledgeable member of our team. His passion for his work, dedication to getting things right, and the cheerful energy he brought to the office each day made a lasting impact on everyone around him. He was a true professional, always willing to help others and always proud of what he did.

Beyond the workplace, Chris was a devoted husband and father to two daughters and a son. He was a passionate motorbike enthusiast, a keen golfer, and an avid supporter of boxing. His work with Eastwood Amateur Boxing Club—where he coached and mentored young people in Nottingham—reflected his generosity and commitment to giving back to the community.

Chris touched the lives of so many through his warmth, humour, and integrity. He will be remembered not only for the contribution he made to our company, but also for the positive influence he had on everyone fortunate enough to know him.

He will be deeply missed.
