Butlins – Bognor Regis, New Entertainment Building

Advanced Glass was appointed by AMIRI Construction to deliver the façade package for the new activity centre at Butlins, Bognor Regis. The 16-week programme required a fast, coordinated approach to ensure all elements of the building’s entrance and envelope were installed safely and efficiently.

Scope of Works

Our package included:

• Technal curtain walling
• Prosale main entrance doors
• Door automation
• Glazing supplied by Ravensby

The activity centre is located within 500 metres of the coastline, requiring consideration of exposure conditions and robust material performance. Acoustic glass was installed on several elevations to meet Butlins’ specific requirements for sound control within the facility.

Technical & Design Considerations

A key challenge on this project was the need to support the curtain wall mullions from the steelwork at only 25 percent of the mullion height. This required careful structural and connection detailing to ensure stability and compliance while maintaining clean sightlines.
Additional design information, such as interface details, performance specifications, or regulatory requirements, was managed according to the information provided by the project team.

Installation & Programme Delivery

The façade installation was completed within the project’s 16-week duration.
Where details such as access conditions, coordination with trades, or site constraints were applicable, they were managed in line with AMIRI Construction’s programme and site strategy.

Performance Requirements

• Acoustic performance: Acoustic glass was installed on varying elevations to meet differing performance criteria.
• Thermal, fire, and security requirements: The project team followed all relevant specifications provided; no additional requirements were noted in the information supplied.

Project Outcome

The installation was completed successfully and met all required performance standards. Butlins expressed positive feedback regarding the completed façade package. Approved photographs are available for use, subject to formal permission.
