66 Shoe Lane, Holborn – Aluminium & Glass Façade Renovation
Advanced Glass carried out a major façade renovation at 66 Shoe Lane in Holborn, London, upgrading an existing commercial building with new aluminium and glass systems. The project involved the replacement and refurbishment of curtain walling, glazing, and associated elements to improve performance and refresh the building’s visual identity.
The works required careful planning to integrate new systems into the existing structure while ensuring compliance with Approved Document B (fire safety) and Approved Document L (thermal performance). Acoustic improvements and durability were also addressed, supporting the building’s long-term use as high-quality office space.
Operating in a busy city-centre location, the project demanded strict logistics management and minimal disruption to neighbouring occupiers. By managing design, procurement, and installation in-house, Advanced Glass ensured compliance, programme certainty, and a high-quality finish.
This scheme highlights our experience in commercial refurbishments, combining technical expertise with efficient delivery in complex urban environments.
